The requirement :
A 48 Track Playback System with full audio redundancy, suitably packaged for world tour.
The Solution :
Based around 4 Fostex D2424 machines, the 48 channel playback system incorporates 2 Technical Earth custom multitrack audio switchers. Each switcher provides seamless automatic switching between two sets of 24 track channel inputs. A custom MIDI control system was implemented providing easy and reliable operation. Timecode and synchronisation integration ensured the system integrated into the audio and lighting systems. The system was full wired in-house to custom connectivity panels on the rear.
Technical Earth have built both Analogue and Digital Playback systems for many tours.
